Online Learning

Online learning should be easy. We know this. You should not need a course on using online learning to take a course online. At Velsoft we believe we have the easiest to use online learning ever. To prove this we invite you to download a free course.

The first thing you will notice will be a simple signup form for requesting your online course. Creating your account is a simple process that does two things: immediately displays your online elearning access and emails this info to you in the event you would rather take a course later.

Velsoft eLearning is designed for trainers who will be assigning eLearning to staff or students. This is why the login info returned to you when you signup includes a sample access for the Student as well as access to the eLearning Administrator.

Student Login – we recommend first signing in as a student so you can experience the courses as the student will see them. Pay special attention to how easy it is to navigate your course area. You will immediately see your course panel that displays your online courses and your progress in each. Simply select your course to begin and the system monitors your progress. Throughout the course you will have many opportunities to not only learn but also test your knowledge and offer personal feedback, opinions and experience.

Beyond the courses the student area gives you the ability to manage your profile and access.

Administrator Login – Administrators have two main areas to manage the learning; Administrator area and Editor area. The Administrator area is where you manage your students and assign what courses they take. Students can be added individually or uploaded in groups. At this time you choose which courses they are to take and others can be easily added later. As students are created in the system they automatically receive an email with their login details. Using the Administrator area is very easy and you can be up and running in minutes.

The Editor area is equally easy to use. This is the location where you have complete control over the content. Each Velsoft course is automatically ready to be used for training but we encourage you to make any changes you like in order to enhance the materials for your organization. Localizing the online learning helps to make your training even more effective as you adapt the eLearning to mirror the job responsibilities and roles of your learners.

Not only can you edit any course but also you can combine existing courses for totally unique course offerings. Likewise, you can make variations of the same course by easily duplicating the course and modifying it for different audiences. For example you can offer slightly modified classes on the same subject to your sales staff and admin staff plus senior managers would get their own version as well. There is no end to the ability to customize the online eLearning.

After customizing a course you may find yourself wanting the original back. Not to worry, at anytime you can restore the original by creating a new copy of the course.

Together, the Administrator area and the Editor area make up our Online LMS. This web-based learning management system does everything most learning management systems do and has the added benefit of being online. There is no need to install a complicated LMS and spend weeks trying to figure it out. The Velsoft web-based LMS (known as VelocityLMS) is completely accessed online and can be logged into from anywhere.

Because our online learning was designed to be web based this allowed us to become completely mLearning friendly. mLearning (or mobile learning) allows learners to access their training from their mobile devices. Because of mLearning training can not only be performed at the office but staff and students can be given access to take their training on the road or at home.

Again, the whole idea is to keep the training as easy as possible. At Velsoft eLearning we have gone to great lengths to ensure the experience of training is a positive one. Your expectations are that your students and/or staff learn and our job is to make sure this online learning is effective.
