eLearning Roll-out Strategy

So you are ready to introduce eLearning. Or, you are upgrading from one eLearning platform to ours. Either way, you are on the right path. But, it is very difficult to recover from a botched launch so here are some things you need to consider before your roll-out.

1. Technical Requirements

Make sure the technical requirements are properly understood. What browser do your students use? Is it compatible? Does your company execute a log-in script that changes the browser settings? Will these changes impact performance?

2. Who?

You should clearly define the first group to be enrolled. Group 1 is the most important. They should be “early adapters”, open minded people that will give the system a legitimate chance and, in fact, will welcome the opportunity to spot “issues” and make suggestions that improve the product.

3. Communication. Communication. Communication.

Communication is key. An important person (CEO type) should send a note to every student as they are enrolled. This should stress to the student that the company is serious about training and development and excited about the eLearning opportunities. Like all projects, an execution risk will remain even when you have done all of your homework. However, in our experience, if you communicate what is happening and engage people in the process they are more likely to overlook any initial launch issues.

eLearning will add tremendous benefit and opportunity to your training program.

We will be here to help you every step of the way. Count on it.
